Laser Skin Resurfacing

Pixel Skin Resurfacing

Pixel skin resurfacing improves skin texture and tone, smoothes wrinkles, and diminishes brown spots. In short, this procedure erases those factors that add years to our appearance, restoring youthful vitality.. Pixel skin resurfacing restores skin to its fresh, healthy state, generally allowing patients to resume their normal routine almost immediately.

How does it work?

Pixel skin resurfacing is based on the principle of micro thermal treatment zones. The laser pulses create tiny ablative zones, removing the epidermis and upper dermis. The treatment then triggers the body’s natural healing process, stimulating the growth of new, healthy skin tissue.

What to expect?

Your physician will determine the ideal treatment plan for your needs. Generally treatment involves two to four sessions, at four week intervals. Right after treatment you may feel a slight tingling sensation. You may experience slight swelling for a day or two. As new skin replaces dead tissue, your skin will flake, a sign that healing is underway. Your skin will look better immediately and will steadily improve over the next few months.

AFT Pulsed Light

Delivering gentle, subtle improvement, AFT pulsed light gives your skin a younger appearance. Your skin will appear naturally even-toned and healthy, without the artificial look of some cosmetic treatments.

Unlike deep laser resurfacing and chemical peels, AFT is not accompanied by an extended period of redness and swelling

As we age, our skin reflects damage from the sun, the elements and the wear-and-tear of daily life. In response, we often seek aesthetic procedures to restore a fresh and youthful appearance. Photo rejuvenation is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures today that provides the idea.

In addition to signs of photodamage and early aging, AFT rejuvenation improves dull complexions, uneven pigmentation and large pores as well as red flushing skin and rosacea.

How does AFT pulsed light technology work?

AFT pulsed light is applied in a series of gentle pulses over the treatment area. Without damaging the skin, the light penetrates the sub-surface skin layers and is absorbed by the blood vessels or by pigmentation. The heat impairs the vessel or lesion and the body begins its natural healing process.

What to expect?

AFT photo rejuvenation treatments range from 15 to 30 minutes. First, the treated area is cleansed and a cool gel is applied. The light pulse is then delivered with little or no discomfort. After treatment, the gel is removed and the skin is cleansed. You can resume your regular activities immediately.

How many treatments are necessary?

Treatment generally involves a series of three to five sessions. While some patients see significant improvement in two or three treatments, others may require more. To maintain results, patients may opt for follow-up treatments.
